Co-Managed IT Services

Your IT person keeps the work they’re actually good at, and stops being the only one who can do it all.

Where A Co-Managed Agreement Actually Makes Sense...

Your IT person is probably good at their job and buried in it. Password resets, a printer nobody can reach, a project that slipped twice, and no cover when they take leave.

Co-managed means they keep what they do well and hand off the rest. You get our help desk, our security stack, and our documentation, without replacing somebody who already knows your business.

What Our Co-Managed IT Services Do For You

  • Your IT lead keeps ownership and stops being the single point of failure.

  • Support requests route to our help desk and get answered inside thirty minutes.

  • Nights, weekends, and vacation weeks get covered without hiring anybody.

  • Sophos Platinum tooling comes with the agreement, not as a separate purchase.

  • Documentation finally gets written, because it’s our job rather than an extra.

  • Escalation reaches a certified engineer instead of a vendor support queue.

  • Who owns what is written down, so nothing falls between the two teams.

What Clients Say About Us

Fast, Reliable Support Around the Clock

Working with ETS for about a year now, I've had a great experience every time I've contacted them for support and during our new product implementation. They have been flexible when needed and quickly responsive each time we've reached out for support. Employees are great to work with, very respectful and courteous, and at understanding our issue fully before providing possible solutions. I appreciate this company and their employees.

A Trustworthy, Transparent Partner

I could not be happier with ETS. They are always just a phone call or e-mail away to handle our IT issues 24/7. Most of my tickets have been answered AND completed within an hour. Brian has gone above and beyond to make sure we understand our options and how they are going to be implemented. ETS has exceeded my expectations. No question or project is too small or too big for them. You may also think to yourself “Do I need an IT solution?” and the answer is YES and the company is ETS.

A Truly Dependable IT Company

We were lucky enough to find ETS years ago when our current IT company couldn't help us anymore. They are an amazing company with an amazing team. They are very organized and know their field. We have many different software programs that integrate with our main software, and we never have a major issue. It has been wonderful having a company that is so dependable, especially in the IT space where so many companies don't know what they are doing. We happily get to focus on our work rather than the latest IT issue. If you are looking for a company, give ETS a call, you will be so happy you do! :)

How We Divide The Work Cleanly For You

Co-managed goes wrong in exactly one way: nobody wrote down who owns what, so the important thing sits untouched while each side quietly assumes that the other one has it covered. We settle that in writing before we start, then we work to it.

We Agree It In Writing

Before anything starts, we map every responsibility to a name, either yours or ours. That document is short, boring, and the reason nothing important ends up sitting in the middle of our process.

Your Person Stays Lead

We do not report over your IT lead or around them. Priorities come from your side, and our engineers work the queue your own person decides actually matters this week.

You Get Our Whole Stack

Sophos Platinum protection, monitoring, and our ticketing platform come with the agreement. Your IT lead gets serious tooling to work with rather than a budget request to go and justify.

We Cover Nights And More

Evenings, weekends, and the two weeks your IT person is away stop being a coverage problem. Our hours even cover Hawaii, ensuring every support request gets timely attention and proper follow-up.

After-Hours and Overflow Coverage

Somebody Is Always Reachable When Your Own Person Is Not

Coverage is the reason most co-managed conversations start. One person cannot be on call permanently, and pretending otherwise just means the calls go unanswered until morning. We take the hours your IT lead should not be working: evenings, weekends, the week they are on holiday, and the stretch after a resignation when nobody new has been hired yet. Our published surveys include a client who reached us on a Sunday night, which is a detail we would rather you read from them.

Overflow works the same way as after-hours. When your person is heads-down on a migration, the password resets and the printer queue still arrive, and they still have to be answered by somebody within the hour. Routing that volume to our help desk is not an admission that your IT lead cannot handle it. It is an admission that answering it costs them the project you actually hired them to deliver.

  • Evenings, weekends, and holiday weeks reach engineers who already have your documentation open, including on Hawaii time.

  • Overflow tickets route straight to our help desk, so your own person keeps their focus on the project work.

  • Every ticket we handle gets surveyed on close, so your IT lead can see precisely how those calls were answered.

Security Stack and Monitoring

Enterprise Security Tooling Without The Enterprise Budget

A company with twenty staff and one IT person rarely has enterprise security tooling, because the licensing costs more than that budget allows. We hold Sophos Platinum, which means the protection, the monitoring, and the response tooling come as part of the agreement rather than as a purchase your IT lead has to justify. Verkada Gold covers cameras and door access on the same terms. Your person works with a stack they would otherwise be writing a business case for.

The awkward part of internal IT is that security is the easiest thing to defer. It has no deadline, it produces nothing visible, and there is always a project with a date on it competing for the same hours. Putting the stack and the monitoring on our side removes that competition entirely, because it is no longer your own person’s time being spent on it. Deferred security is the debt that compounds quietly.

  • Sophos Platinum protection and monitoring come with the agreement rather than as separate licensing you have to fund.

  • Alerts land with our engineers first, so your IT lead is not the one waking up to a security notification.

  • Physical access and camera systems sit with the same team as the network, through our Verkada Gold partnership.

Shared Tools and Documentation

One Ticketing System, One Set Of Documentation, Shared

Shared tooling is what separates a real co-managed agreement from an expensive escalation line. Your IT lead works inside the same ticketing system our engineers do, sees the same history, and reads the same documentation. That matters most on the day something breaks and two people need the same context at the same moment. It matters again the day your person moves on, because the knowledge is in files rather than in their head, and their replacement starts from a written record.

Documentation is the first casualty of a one-person IT department. There is no time for it, nobody is asking for it, and its absence costs nothing until the week it costs everything. We write it as we work, which means it exists whether or not anybody remembered to schedule it, and your IT lead can read, correct, and add to it at any point. Nothing about your environment should live only in somebody’s memory.

  • Your IT lead works inside the same ticketing system, with the same history and the same notes our engineers see.

  • Documentation is written as the work happens, so it exists without anybody having to schedule the task.

  • When your IT person moves on, the environment is already recorded and the replacement is not starting blind.

Why Businesses Keep Their IT Person And Add Us

The decision is rarely about capability. It is about one person carrying more than any one person can reasonably carry, and a budget that will not stretch to a second hire. Co-managed is the arrangement that fits between those two facts, and it gets scoped around them.

  • Leave Stops Hurting

Your IT lead stops being the reason nothing can happen while they are on leave. Coverage exists for evenings, weekends, and holidays, so one person taking a break is no longer a risk to plan around.

  • Tools Arrive Included

The security stack, the monitoring, and the ticketing platform arrive with the agreement rather than as three purchase approvals. Your internal person gets tools they would otherwise spend a budget cycle trying to win funding for.

  • Both Teams Covered

White glove support covers your own IT lead as well as your staff. Thirty minutes applies to every ticket we take, ensuring your internal IT team and your end users get the support they need, when they need it.

  • No Gaps Between Us

Ownership is written down at the start, so no task lives in the gap between two teams. That one short document prevents almost every single argument that co-managed arrangements are known for having six months in.

FAQs About Our Co-Managed IT Services

How Do You Decide Which Tickets We Keep And Which You Take?

It comes out of the responsibility map we build before starting, and your IT lead has the final say on it. The usual split sends us the high-volume, low-judgment work along with anything outside business hours, while your person keeps the systems that need somebody who understands your business to make the call. It is written down rather than assumed, and it gets revisited when the shape of the work changes.

Will Our IT Person Feel Like You Are Auditing All Their Work?

That depends entirely on how the arrangement is set up, which is why we set it up with them rather than around them. Our engineers work the queue your IT lead prioritises, and the survey results you see cover our tickets, not theirs. If your intention is actually to evaluate your internal person, say so at the start, because that is a different engagement and pretending otherwise would poison the working relationship quickly.

What Happens To This Arrangement If Our IT Person Eventually Leaves Us?

Less than you would expect, which is most of the argument for documenting as we go. The environment is already recorded, the ticket history is already in the shared system, and our engineers already know your setup. You can run on our coverage while you recruit, hand the documentation to whoever you hire, or convert to a full managed agreement instead. None of those options require starting from scratch.

Do We Have To Move Onto Your Ticketing System And Security Tools?

For the shared parts, yes, and that is deliberate. Two teams working from separate ticket queues and separate documentation is how things get dropped, so the value of co-managed largely disappears without a single shared record. Where your team already relies on a specific tool, raise it during scoping. Some can stay alongside ours, and the ones that cannot are worth discussing before anything is signed.

You Deserve A Higher Quality of IT Support...

Most owners find out how thin their security was on the day it fails, and how slow their IT company is on the same day. You can find out now instead, on a call that costs nothing, from somebody who will say it plainly.
